Smitten is a capable AI erotic story generator: you can write 2 stories a day free without an account, and Smitten Plus adds character chat and audio narration. But if you want standalone AI companions or live voice calls, other tools may fit better.
Here are the best Smitten alternatives, starting with the one we rate highest, plus an honest note on who each suits.
We looked at what matters when you're switching: how uncensored each is, whether it does companions as well as stories, the free way in, and privacy.
What is Smitten?
Smitten (Smitten Stories) is an AI erotic story generator. You define characters and set the scene, and it writes a personalised story. You can generate 2 stories a day free without an account; Smitten Plus adds unlimited stories, longer content, chat with characters, multiple languages and audio narration.
It's a well-rounded tool with a generous free start. People look elsewhere when they want AI girlfriends and boyfriends who remember them across conversations, voice calls they can talk on, or simply a different writing style.
Why look for a Smitten alternative?
You want deeper AI companions
If character chat is what draws you in, dedicated AI girlfriends and boyfriends with their own personalities, who remember you across conversations, are a different experience.
You want to talk, not just read
EroticSaga's Unlimited and VIP plans include live voice calls with companions (30 or 60 minutes a day), on top of story narration.
You want a different writing voice
Every generator writes differently. Comparing a real sample from each is the only reliable way to find the one you like.
You want it fully uncensored
How far a tool will go varies. People switch when one won't match what they're imagining.
What to look for in a Smitten alternative
When you're replacing Smitten, start with the free allowance. Two stories a day without an account is generous, so judge an alternative on writing quality and features rather than on whether its free offer is bigger.
Also consider how deep the chat goes. Chatting with story characters is different from dedicated AI companions that remember you across conversations — if chatting is a big part of the appeal, that difference is worth paying attention to.
And check the extras: whether narration is included or gated behind a higher tier, whether stories can continue into new chapters, and how private the tool keeps everything you write.
