SmutFinder is an AI erotica platform known for long, multi-chapter stories with inline illustrations and interactive roleplay chat. It's feature-rich — but if images aren't your priority, or you want companions and voice, another tool may fit better.
Here are the best SmutFinder alternatives, starting with the one we rate highest, plus who each one suits.
We compared them on what matters: how uncensored they are, whether they do companions and voice as well as stories, the free way in, and privacy.
What is SmutFinder?
SmutFinder is an AI erotic story generator built around personalised novellas of 5–40 chapters with inline illustrations, plus real-time roleplay chats with live image generation. It offers character memory and a community library of curated stories you can save, follow and remix, and it describes itself as free to start.
Its image generation is a big part of the draw. People compare alternatives when they care more about the writing than the pictures, want AI companions that feel like a relationship rather than roleplay, or want voice narration and calls.
Why look for a SmutFinder alternative?
You care more about the writing than images
Image generation is fun, but if the story itself is the point, a text-only tool tuned for prose may serve you better.
You want companions, not just roleplay
Dedicated AI girlfriends and boyfriends that remember you go beyond one-off roleplay chats.
You want voice narration
Hearing your story read aloud — and on the Unlimited and VIP plans, talking to a companion on a voice call — is something SmutFinder's site doesn't list.
You want it uncensored and private
Uncensored writing that stays private to you, with discreet billing, is the baseline most people want.
What to look for in a SmutFinder alternative
SmutFinder leans hard on generated images, so the first question is how much images actually matter to you. If they're central to the experience, few tools match that. If the writing and the relationship are the point, prioritize prose quality and dedicated companions instead.
It's also worth comparing how each tool handles length and memory. Look for real multi-chapter continuation and characters that stay consistent from one session to the next — and whether narration is available if you'd rather listen than read.
Then check the basics every uncensored tool should get right: genuinely no content filters, content kept private to your account, and a low-friction way to try before you commit.

The verdict
If inline image generation and roleplay are what you're after, SmutFinder leans hard into that.
